Mountain Visions

A place to talk about art, artists, and art education

My lesson plan is centered on M.C. Escher, masterpiece artist of the middle 20th century, and ties Art to Math through tessellations and repeated patterns. It will encourage your art students to create relationships to other important core subjects through art practice. I did this lesson in groups at the middle school level and they loved working with their friends, in a community-type setting. I will upload another website of Dr. Pam Stephens and her illustrator's later. Be sure to check that website out! It has everything you need visually for this lesson.
All the best,
Julie B. Wells
