When Art met Math. . .Integrated Art Lesson Plan

My lesson plan is centered on M.C. Escher, masterpiece artist of the middle 20th century, and ties Art to Math through tessellations and repeated patterns. It will encourage your art students to create relationships to other important core subjects through art practice. I did this lesson in groups at the middle school level and they loved working with their friends, in a community-type setting.
