My activities sequence section is a lot to read. Here is a summary.It is a production lesson.
collect all materials
Introduce the motivation
-Go to youtube. and look up blue men group paint drumming
-Go to itunes visualizer
-Show Kandinsky's work
-relate to other noises we here in life other than music like a train or a fog horn.
Introduce the objectives
Do a demo.
Students do sketches with music
Students check with me and I help with differentiation
Students do final painting.
This lesson takes a big introduction. It is a different and complex concept to grasp and therefore needs time. This lesson would be more like a month long unit.
